Sims 2 Pets Reviewed

Pocket Gamer has posted a review of The Sims 2 Pets, giving us their take on the virtual pet simulator from EA Mobile. They note: “The Sims 2 Pets centres on you taking care of a virtual pet within the Sims universe. A simple concept, but one that lends itself to the handheld platforms remarkably well, as we can see from all the other virtual pet-styled games available.”

5320 XpressMusic Reviewed

All About Symbian reviews the 5320 XpressMusic, a Nokia device that is planned on being N-Gage compatible in the near future but isn’t currently, as the review notes: “Hopefully N-Gage will be brought to the 5320 very soon, and the phone includes a download link for the application in its Games folder (but the link doesn’t work as the app isn’t ready yet.” But if you’re considering this one for your love of music plus a chance to play N-Gage games, this is worth reading.

And for those of you who don’t regularly visit the Arena tab on the main Website (for shame!)  you may have missed me posting up the Top 5 Games for global sales earlier this week. This chart doesn’t include recent releases like Bounce or Reset, those will be reflected in next week’s chart.

Here are some reviews of the latest N-Gage game to hit the Showroom, The Sims 2 Pets from Electronic Arts. First up is All About N-Gage, who note:

“Sims 2: Pets has a good graphics engine and an easy-to-use interface. It’s made even more easy to use by on-screen hints that appear when you first encounter a new aspect of the game, so practically everyone should be able to play this straight away.”

You can read their full review here. Next up is N-Gation, which had this to say:

“This is a title the N-Gage needed, a well known franchise from the original PC series. We have had so many different versions of Sims 2 Pets for all the mainstream consoles and handheld’s, is this version worth our money again? Read on…”

And you can read their full review here. And of course, you should always download the free trial and try the game yourself from the game page, as well as read the many player reviews on that page.

So what did you think of the game?
