Thursday Roundup
Dirk Dagger Game Page
You may not have noticed unless you religiously visit our Web Showroom every day, but we have added a game page for Dirk Dagger to the Website, including screen shots and a video.
Touch Screen for N-Gage?
Tzer2 over at All About N-Gage has tackled the issue of touch screen gaming versus the traditional button mashing, noting:
“Whatever happens and whoever does it, it should be fascinating to see how touchscreen phone gaming plays out in the real world. Could portable consoles become obsolete? After all, touchscreen phones would have superior processing power, an equally good control system, and potentially a much much larger userbase.”
Personally I think both will be around for a while. I would rather be using a touch screen for something like Brain Challenge, where I could just point to the correct answer. Obviously that’s much more intuitive. But in an action game like FIFA or Asphalt, I don’t want important visual information hidden under my fat, clumsy Ikona fingers.
Nokia Most Trusted Brand in India
According to an independent survey by one of India’s major newspapers, Nokia is the most trusted brand name in the country:
“Nokia has emerged as the Most Trusted Brand in India in the annual survey undertaken by Brand Equity of The Economic Times, India’s largest and the world’s second most read financial daily.”
No word on where N-Gage ranked. ![]()

i would’nt mind a touch screen device as long as there was still Hidden buttons and D-pad you could slide out for games like fifa and Space Impact.
So i suppose as long as the choice remains on the device on which control mode you want to use Then Touch screens would be great for N-gage.
I noticed Dirk DaGGer within few minuts of it being added ,I check showroom and Blog about 30 times each Day for a Released game and info.
Are we still going to see new game in showroom this week ?
It’s now 22 days since last game was out. These big gaps between releases is not good it just drives people to buying java or sis variants of the games b/c they get bored of hanging around with nothing to play

Hi Ikona,
Dirk Dagger looks very great. Cant wait to play it myself!
Like Crag im checking out the showroom very oftan every day but no new games. I think we will get Sims Pets sooooooon!
But whats with the other games.
I have played Brothers in Arms (Java) an thats a really nice game so i hope we will see this soon! Also i cant wait for next week to get my hands on Bounce, Midnight Pool and Dogz (hope you are able to release all 3 games!) Maybee we get more Games after the 10.000 Points bug is fixed. Hope that the things get fast and we will see the N-Gage app. in all its glory without such bad bugs.
So i hope next blogpost is Sims 2 Pets hits the Showroom
Or maybee 10.000 Points bug is fixed!
Some more things i dont understand is why do you not update the Showroom with upcomming games like Speed Racer, The Dark Knight, Star Wars, Metal Gear Solid or the WRC Racing game? (as comming soon) The games were all announced over the blog but noone knows about them when he is not reading the blog and i think not all costumers will do that.
So i think thats all for now… cant wait for the next game…
Greetings SonicSayin

Way to go nokia my behind! These guys still havent released ngage for n73 & n93. This is not a way to build customer loyalty. U click on the website and u see pics of the n73 & n93 running ngage games. Yet the app isnt ready yet. I bet u these guys arnt even working on this stuff. They just waiting for time to go by so that they can tell us that ngage support for the 2 phones has been discontinued so go and buy a newer more expensive phone. Nokia sucks and theres nothing more to it. Realesing 2d games with crappy stories(Reset Generation) yet the 1st ngage was fully capable of running awsome 3d games. If i had known that this would happen i would have bought a normal camera phone and a psp.
