By the way, from what we’ve heard the N96 has the N-Gage application built into its firmware so it should be pre-installed and work straight out of the box.
Also, of interest to N-Gagers, apparently the N96 does now have graphics acceleration hardware. Nokia denied this earlier in the year, but the official tech specs have just been updated and show the hardware as being present (look at the CPU section):

Kinda understandable that N-Gage arrives to 5320 and N96 at the same time, since they are both S60 3rd FP2 devices, but what about the N78? It’s a S60 3rd FP2 device too.

Let’s face it, N73 is Nokia’s most sold N-Series phone, but it is also based on the weak OMAP 1 platform. That means a less juicy processor, less RAM and S60 without any feature pack. And since a lot of N-Series owners still don’t know about the possibility to install and use custom software, they won’t use software that isn’t pre-installed. And this group doesn’t use firmware updates either.
So Nokia would have to do a lot of work in order to get N73 N-Gage capeable. And as time goes by, my doubts are growing that we will see N-Gage on phones without feature packs at all.

Yes, what about the n78 users! We’re tired of waiting. Bring us ngage now! And a decent gaming controller accessory. Since the navi button can’t be used for gaming.

Yeah, we really need support on N73, N93 and N93i. Sorry to give you a hard time about this Ikona, I know you were the one who posted on uservoice saying Nokia needs to make a statement about this. We really appreciate that. I’m pretty sure you’d tell us what the hold-up is if you knew, but I’m posting this to ask you to keep the pressure up on those who are in a position to release more information about this.

bodyz, the N93 and N93i are not too weak, they have the same hardware are the N95. 332MHz CPU, 64MB RAM & 3D Chip.
And all the N78 users can STFU about getting bored of waiting, try being an N93i owner and you’d know all about it.
