The New N-Gage Logo is Here
Sharp observers have already noticed that the GC Developers Conference site includes the new N-Gage logo.
Nokia is a sponsor of this year’s GCDC conference, and we gave a keynote speech discussing the next generation of mobile gaming. So it shouldn’t be too surprising that we’d want to unveil our new logo there.
I can confirm that yes, this is the new N-Gage logo. In fact, I can do you one better.
Here is a small, animated version of the new logo (Windows media format, 98kb). Have a look, then tell us what you think!

It looks like a “fun looking” logo. Let’s hope the games will rock. I actually like the new logo a lot better than the old one. I hope Nokia can breath new life into N-Gage.

can you say N-gay? COME ON GUYS!!! what was nokia thinking!?!

I like it. As mentioned above, it’s playful, which is good, cause it’s for games. Thus, appropriate.

Cool logo for a cool gaming platform. Thanks ikona for the great animation. I wish there was some more demos and information.

Well I hope this logo doesn’t mean that N-gage games will be mostly casual. I want a lot of hardcore games and this logo for me looks a bit soft, but it’s just a logo anyway.

I know the idea is a non-masculine fun icon that uses the N-Gage name, but this is infantile and games should not be put forth as infantile if they are going to try to appeal to a broad audience of cell phone using adults. Cute works on some women, almost no men and some children. Men buy games but will be alienated by that logo, women are typically too scared of interface to try online downloading and content management en masse regardless of the logo and children don’t have cell phones in quantities great enough to make them a factor. That logo is potentially a dangerously bad choice if the marketing is following in its footsteps as cute and mildly feminine or at least strongly non-masculine.

[...] Krisse over at AAS has updated us that the logo which was originally spotted at the GCDC site is in fact the real deal. The YouTube video shows the animated logo. Hmmm, I think I like the original one better. [...]

I think this logo is too animated. It seemed to be a logo for cartoons, not for N-gage!
comparing with this logo, maybe the 1st generation logo is better.
If it is the logo for next generation,I’m really disappionted.
oh,give me a awesome logo please!
