N-Gage.com Update
As previously advised, N-Gage First Access has now closed. We thank you for your participation, and to everybody who took the survey.
In the mean time, we have begun preparing for N-Gage Go Live. While we do this important work, some N-Gage functionality will be temporarily removed. There are a few key points to remember during this time:
1. Login, registration, and reserving a new N-Gage Player Name will be inactive during this time. Note that if you are currently logged into the Forums, you will be able to post for as long as your session lasts.
2. We are no longer supporting the pre-release version of the N-Gage application.
3. You can continue to play your games and game trials using the pre-release version of the N-Gage application. However we strongly encourage you to upgrade to the full release version of the N-Gage application and games once it becomes available. Don’t miss out on the fresh start!
4. The Player Name and password you created for First Access will not be valid for full rollout, unless they were the same as your existing Player Name and password on the Arena forums.
5. Game licenses you purchased during First Access will carry over into the commercial launch, but you will need to install the new version of the N-Gage application and re-install the games.
6. Saved games, Point Pickups, and N-Gage Points accrued will be reset, to give everyone a fresh start.
Because logging in to the Forums is down for this period, I will create a new Open Thread for you to discuss up until the point we are ready for Go Live. Today’s thread can begin right here.
Unfortunately because of the amount of spam our blog attracts, comment moderation will need to stay on, but we will approve the comment backlog more frequently.

So, the final changes are being made. Cool! Hope they fix the bugs and add the missing features.
First Access was pretty fun, so I’m expecting N-Gage to be GREAT! (GR8!)
Hmm, I’m guessing the launch to be between march 31st and april 13th (2 weeks from monday). What are you guessing?
And don’t worry nubcakes, I’m calm now. I ranted last time cos I was a LITTLE stressed of life. :/

shadowspawn I thought you said today was the launch date for N-Gage. Remember, in that long obnoxious post of yours, you clearly stated IN ALL CAPS that March 27 is the launch date.
So is N-Gage launching today? I haven’t seen it yet, but it should be right? I’m just basing this on your comment in an earlier thread that said March 27 was the launch date. So it’s today, right?
It’s pretty exciting, isn’t it? What game are you going to play first? My friends say that it’s not launching today, but I bet them $50 that it is because shadowspawn said so. So when they all give me $50, I think I should give some to shadowspawn for the inside info.
I hope the full version is much better than First Access. It should be just a few hours now until we find out. shadowspawn promised us that it’s coming out today, so don’t worry everyone. I’m sure it will be. We just have to believe.
Maybe I just can’t find the download page. shadowspawn, can you let us know the link to download the full version of the N-Gage app? You know, the one that launched today? I can’t find it, so maybe you can help me out a bit here. Thanks in advance.
Even if I have to stay up past my bedtime until 11:59pm, I will. Cuz I want to be the first one to try out the new launch of N-Gage today. It’s so exciting!

Sweet, now the real countdown begins!
And my guess is that the application will launch sometime during either the second or third week of April. That should be enough time to justify a “few weeks” ^^
First game I’mma purchase is System Rush: Evolution and if Snakes Subsonic shows up as well (since there’s a chance that Nokia will add 1-2 titles) then I’ll probably fetch that one too since I had such a blast with the previous game.

Why I believe it’c coming in the next few (3-4) days:
Nokia wouldn’t have discontinued First Acces without a good reason. The reason might be that they finished combing the program, modifying it, debugging it.
So what I think is left to do is to implement the program, connect it to the Arena servers and prepare it for world-wide download (also the reason why thay stoped the forums). Things that should take only a couple of days. Normally you don’t take a server down and than start to update the program. You only do it when the program is ready.
I do hope my logic is sound and the explanation easy to read.

well carl, we all make mistakes and false assumptions.
usually when any beta ends (IE an online game) they do the commercial launch on the same day. guess Nokia doesnt work that way.
and what, you got offended by stranger over the internet? get over it!
the rant was cos i had a bad week and i was sick of everything. especially the repetetive whines of “wai nut ngaga b 0n teh 5700/n70/whatever.”
Also, I was sick of all the spam the blog attracts, like the 3rd comment on this blog.
but its all cool now, i have rested, calmed down and taken my pills. (pills are a figure of speech)
My guess: N-Gage will launch within the next 17 days. (NOTE: GUESS!)

Folks, before we carry on, I’m going to say this, because I’m tired of seeing banter of you “said it was out on this” etc etc.
We need to drop it, forget it, and just look forward to the games we are going to be able to play. The sooner we get on with that, the better games we’ll have in multiplayer mode once it’s launched.
I don’t want to go back to the forums once they re-enable log-in, to find everyone fighting amongst themselves. Past is past. So let’s forget past quabbles. Carl, Shadow had apologised for his rant previous, but can you blame him? Some people are excitable, and can jump to conclusions - as you stay here longer, you get to know people better, and can make better decisions for yourself. I’ve been here since the QD came out and we’ve been waiting this long for the app to come out - it’s great to finally see the progress.
But there is one thing Carl, that i think you need to stop doing yourself, and I will say this very politely, but when you make posts like that above, you are antagonising people, and provoke a response. You know Shadowspawns posts by now, so why not just ignore them, and stop provoking a response?

Well…There goes our hard earned Forst Access n-gage points and scores in games we had for the past 2 months =(
I really can’t wait for the ‘N-gage Go Live’ to be launched. I am straight away going to get the FIFA 2008 and ONE, cuz they are the nicest games so far i have seen.
I will tell my friends that N-Gage is coming out in mid-April (latest I hope) who uses N73 phones, and maybe I can thrash them in those games as N73 phones lag alot :p.

@djpryme123 — You and everyone else will want to install the new version of the N-Gage application once it’s available. You will also need to reinstall your games, but you will not have to pay for them again.

@eldopher, probable because the N81 is a cell-phone (in case you haven’t noticed) ^^ I can enumerate a ton of phone models that are more expensive than both the PSP and DS

hi 0phil0! i finished the costa rica - 100%, Alaska - 100%, Loch Ness - 100% and i stopped playin. I made the 100 000+ score in costa rica only. Then i was wondering how people do the scores like 1 000 000 or more.. anchor fishing?? for me its not interesting anymore when i make the 100% of single map.. only stupid quests like: “bring me the 90kg of A.Pompano” LoL - its boriiiiiiiing to fish 2 days for one spieces etc. Im sorry for this offtopic comment but forums closed.. U kno..
BUt tell me - how? boring fishing without any goals? just to get the highest score ever (zzzz) ? … can’t wait to start again

wieju in costa rica i managed to get 1053099 xp, level 32 fishing god. Alaska i got 174935 xp level 25. Scotland i got 225008 xp level 29. And thailand i got 252713 xp level 30. All the game done, completed 177 quests, record fish 8720kg thats a very big fish :o) total play time errm think i will keep that to my self or everyone will think i am hooked on creatures of the deep lol its a lot of hours.

And Mile High Pinball ruled on theold devices, and since we’re getting it for free, would be fun to get it on the same day as the launch!

I seriously slowed down my playing on all games towards the end of first access, but i loved every moment of it! I really didn’t think the points were going to make any difference to my experience, but they are so addictive! I can’t wait til arena is back, and with so many new players, there should be more victims - i mean players - around on system rush. No more hanging around in ranked!

I hope the final COTD rankings involve more than the overall weight of fish caught! Because it really does get boring when you’ve caught everything…..if it’s just going to be a matter of going to costa rica and catching a few hundred whale sharks, I wont be interested! I’m hoping for online tournys. If I were to choose a God like status, it would NOT be god of fishing. hehe!
