Pro Series Golf is Here
Pro Series Golf has been released in the Showroom on the N-Gage application and is now available for you to try. Navigate to the Showroom tab and select ‘Update Now’ and it should appear at the head of the list.
“Pro Series Golf is an addictive combination of accessible gameplay blended with the emotive rivalry of competitive golf. Going beneath the surface of typical golf simulations, it exposes the heart of this elite sport — deep-seated rivalry and the drive to be the best!”

My frustration is now complete. Both of the games I won during the CMP competition last year are now released and I still have no app support for the N93i I won at the same time. I won them over 7 months ago, people are now playing them and I still can’t. Worse, I have no idea when I’ll be able to play them and must now wonder if I’ll ever be able to play them at all since there has been NO news about the roll-out of support for the other “supported devices”.
To make absolutely clear what the new N-Gage experience has been for me I’ve included a summary.
Sit through months of delays with no new games and eventually no game servers for the old games. Get supported N-Gage. Be underwhelmed by the game selection and game support from 3rd parties. Watch others beta test the platform because my “Supported Device” is not supported. Watch others get gifts for a beta test I was excluded from because of my device choice. Watch the launch which doesn’t include support for my “Supported Device”. Chat with people about and attend events for COTD, which I have a free copy of but can’t use because there’s no app support for my “Supported Device”. Watch release after release be played, talked about and become old news for other people and quietly twiddle my thumbs because that’s all I can do while I wait for support for my “Supported Device”. Watch posts about frustration with the lack of support be deleted. Watch the other CMP game I won be released, and still be unable to play it because my “Supported Device” is still not supported.
In short, wait, be frustrated, wait, be excluded, wait, more frustration, wait, watch, frustration, rinse, repeat. If there is something else Nokia could do to alienate me, I can’t think of what it would be. They seem to have exclusion rather than inclusion going hardcore in their all inclusive new platform and so far this experience is more completely sucking than any I’ve ever experienced in the consumer space.
Is it so much to ask to be given some idea when we too get to play? This feels annoyingly like the Classic support for the Launcher 2.0 that never arrived or Spirits that never arrived or any other software that it was realized couldn’t be done. The MO is identical: stop talking about it, give people time to forget, slowly delete details about it from the website and then quietly cancel it when no one is looking. Is that what’s happening here? Why no updates? In the time Nokia has failed to port its own software from one phone to another it has ported MHP to the new platform and 3rd parties have had a field day porting their aging wares to the platform. Why? Where’s the news? Why aren’t we seeing updates? When will we? Why can’t we have a chat with Jakko or some big wigs about this? Why are we getting stonewalled when all we want it to hand over our money and support this format?

hi ikona, the point pickups are secret. I got now 3 of them and 75 points at all in the game. Hope to find out more in the next days. And great, psg is the biggest game for now
July 3rd, 2008 at 12:17 am
Ikona, can you ask the team about the N-Gage App rankings for PSG too?
At the moment looks like it only measures holes in one which doesn’t seem right.
July 3rd, 2008 at 2:34 am
@ikona
eheheeheh
little bit
July 3rd, 2008 at 2:55 am
Krisse you have to update each ranking type seperatley
so once your logged into rankings update Birdies push a cross to putting and update again and on and on ‘
they are all blank until you update them all 1 by 1
July 3rd, 2008 at 3:02 am

I cannot give customer support on the blog.
July 3rd, 2008 at 11:13 am
That is what n-gager wants, one step of 500 floor tower!
July 4th, 2008 at 12:59 am
“Krisse you have to update each ranking type seperatley”
Crag123, I don’t mean rankings in the game itself, I mean rankings displayed in the N-Gage application in the “My Profile” section. There is no way to select ranking types in the app.
At the moment the N-Gage app just says “hole in one” and 0 next to everyone’s name, which probably isn’t what the developer intended.
July 4th, 2008 at 8:35 am
to all those whining and complainers out there who cry because the cant get n gage how bout you all stfu and upgrade your phone to a model that has n gage support, im pretty sure most of the ngage community is sick so death of your piss moaning. Am i right?
July 4th, 2008 at 9:08 am
Great game, actually!
disturbed, yeah, it seems like you’ve got the point
those people who keep crying about the devices that doesn’t support n-gage 2 should just get money, life or whatever they need to get right type of phone. They aren’t too wise neither…look, old ngage supported two phone models and everybody was happy…new generation of gaming seems to mean also new gen whining..
July 4th, 2008 at 9:21 am
I have played all realesed games trial or bought and I am really dissapointing in the games of ngage. They are not accelarated. Really bad. Only game since now which has awesome graphics is SRE and it worth money, all other nothing special. Some of the developers are making games only to be a member of the ngage like gameloft. Asphalt 3 is good but need to be accelerated. What will be with Brothers in Arm, good gameplay game but graphics will need to be accelerated. Idea3dworks make really good games with awesome graphics!
July 4th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
Krisse my app as never displayed the rankings in my profile everytime i look for different games it always says “RANKINGS not AVAILABLE FOR THIS GAME” thats why i thought you meant inside the game itself
July 4th, 2008 at 10:09 pm
“They are not accelarated. Really bad.”
1. You don’t need hardware acceleration to do good 3D. Look at System Rush Evolution or Creatures Of The Deep, they both look gorgeous without any acceleration.
2. Most people don’t give a monkeys about hardware acceleration on phone games. Look at how well Tetris is still selling, and that doesn’t even have 3D graphics at all.
3. If you want accelerated graphics, try buying a PSP. N-Gage is not a games console and never will be, it’s a phone game platform.
July 5th, 2008 at 5:24 am
It looks like a very good game. I will buy it when i get money for it.
Then ofcourse review it in my blog!
BTW, I have made a tutorial of putts and swings in my blog, for all those of you who have a hard time getting on par and birdies.
July 5th, 2008 at 9:49 am
If disturbed and berrybear want to put their money where their mouths are and buy me another phone I’ll take it, otherwise shut your pie-holes because you’re not contributing a thing.
My phone is a supported device according to Nokia and this official website. The problem is Nokia not backing up their statement of support with an actual app and leaving users like myself and their own Team Arena dangling in the wind on this issue. Nokia needs to step up or own up. Either way would be fine with me, but I’m not going to give them a pass for shafting me and I’m not going to forgive the offense and hand over money I shouldn’t have to for the privilege of playing their generally piss poor selection of ports and fodder.
July 5th, 2008 at 10:29 am
well said game hunter, if we need 2 change our phones nokia should advise not people like disturbed and berrybear, who do they think they are????????????????????
July 6th, 2008 at 7:04 am
OK krisse, then why nokia added 3D hardware to N95 and N82? to make them more expensive?
I own a PSP and partially bought my N82 because of the 3D hardware, not only for games but for mapping apps for example (DEMs) if you feel good buying something that you won’t use because the manufacturer don’t want to bring support for it’s own hardware then you should know most people will think different from you :P.
July 6th, 2008 at 1:59 pm
Game_hunter
you can use ngage 2.0 too because it has been hacked. and with the hacked application you can buy all the games and play them so its not a huge problem.
but im courious too why nokia doesnt make an application for all the devices because even with their current app its possible to play ngage on all the s60v3 nokia phones

Hi,
I hope someone can help me! I already got my activation code for Golf Series Golf. But when I try to play in career mode, suddenly the game stops and shows this message: Pro Series Golf exited with an error. There is an option for more information and shows this “pro series golf closed; Kern –exec 3. I already delete and reinstall the game but the problem is still there !!
Thanks in advance for the help !
Cheers !
July 7th, 2008 at 7:24 am
I completely agree with you Game_Hunter. After all, Nokia has no right to make us buy a device promising support, and later giving no support for the service at all. Read my remarks about the faulty N-Gage policy of Nokia at http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum/showpost.php?p=382781&postcount=10.
Regarding ‘disturbed’ and ‘berrybear’’s remarks, I don’t have problems with buying newer devices, but why will Nokia cheat me? Can you answer?
July 7th, 2008 at 11:58 pm
Very good article sandy. I agree with everything. Especially the n73 support which caused me problems in the past when i had an n73. I was waiting for the app for ages but then got tired of waiting so sold my n73 and with the money i got for my n73 and sum of my student loan i bought an n95 8gb for 250 pounds. Anyone looking to buy an n95 8gb because when i get sum available from my supplier i could be selling ond for 250 or even less. When i get them available i could provide u with a link. Also the 10,000 bug which might cause me problems in the future when i reach 10,000 if its not fixed. Right now i’m on 3450 so not a problem yet.
July 8th, 2008 at 1:53 am
Thanks for the help bobi, but I don’t use hacks. If Nokia wants my dollar, they need to earn it. I’m not jumping through any hoops to give my money away. Either they provide the product promised or they get nothing.
July 12th, 2008 at 9:48 pm
i’m tavanmanh in viet nam
July 13th, 2008 at 12:33 am
Seems like ngage has gone on vacation since u have ikona becoz no new games released since july 2nd. come on nokia we need something to play. I think this could be disastrous for ngage because if they don’t release games week by week they could be blown away by iphones app store. Some games on it r actually quite good. Looks like same story as original ngage with sum minor improvements.
July 13th, 2008 at 6:12 pm
How Long is Ikona on Vacation I miss the info I’m getting very ill not having a news update forget Heroin withdrawals, N-gage withdrawals are a lot worse.
Help just one post please, I wont ask ever again I swear
July 15th, 2008 at 5:05 am
I wasn’t even aware that the N-Gage even still existed, kudos on making it this far.
July 15th, 2008 at 12:27 pm
Brothers in Arms. What an awesome game. Any of u guys played it. It is well realistic for a mobile game and worth the money unlike some ngage games. If i name em i will have to disgrace em so won’t name them but you guys probably know which ones i’m talking about.
July 17th, 2008 at 12:27 am
n the n-GaGe site they wrote that it’s not available for the N73 phones (Coming Soon)!
Well i Installed on N73 and it’s great,till now i have 6 games!
July 18th, 2008 at 12:51 am
