Thursday Roundup
We’re busy with some stuff behind the scenes this week so I apologize for the lack of updates. Here’s some links to tide you over.
Our website for developers has interviewed Dr. Ollila, Nokia’s director of first party games publishing. Here’s a snippet, talking about what games he’s been playing lately:
“I’ve been playing Mile High Pinball lately and I’ve been enjoying that a lot. I’m excited about ONE and Dirk Dagger and I’m obviously excited about Reset Generation and getting into that multiplayer play off frenzy. Of the third party titles, I’m enjoying Asphalt, and looking forward to seeing Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.”
Australian gaming site PALGN reviews the N-Gage service overall. For some reason, they’re using the old logo in their coverage, but that doesn’t stop them from truly enjoying the service: “It’s clear that the N-Gage service is here to stay and this time it’s been executed just perfectly.”
Scott Foe’s Edinburgh Interactive Presentation
Recently Reset Generation’s executive producer Scott Foe gave a talk at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival about the future of mobile and cross-platform gaming and game distribution. Take a look here (Pocket Gamer) or here (All About N-Gage).
Interview: Fishlabs talks mobile games, including N-Gage
It’s fair to say that Fishlabs boss Michael Schade doesn’t mince his words when it comes to mobile games publishers. “Some of them are living out of reality!” he says. (Note: Link may not currently be working, since Pocket Gamer is down for maintenance today).
RECENT N-GAGE GAME REVIEWS
“This is clearly a well-designed sequel, rather than a rehashing of a once popular name.”
All About N-Gage Doesn’t Like Dogz
Perhaps Tzer2 is more of a cat person.
N-Gation Gives Dirk Dagger a Silver Medal
“Overall a great game, for £8 you will not be disappointed you will submerge into the life of Dirk Dagger.”

LOL
Thanks for linking to the review despite its low mark. Kudos, respect etc.
I do actually think virtual pets could be the killer app of phone gaming, as phones are something you carry with you. Hopefully Creebies will do it correctly, and it’s definitely the game I’m most looking forward to.

And 39% is still too high for such a stupid game.

I just wanted to say great! I was clicking around on some different blogs when I found this site. After spending some time on your weblog I’ve come up with some ideas for a new weblog. I just thought I’d let you know
