Welcome Back to Project White Rock
It appears 1up.com’s Andrew Podolsky has received an invitation to the unveiling of Project White Rock, the code-name for the as-yet still unrevealed game being developed by RedLynx and Pocket Kingdom producer Scott Foe. Part of the invitation is shown below:

Podolsky notes that the For the Love of Gaming site features classic videogame trivia and chiptunes by 8-Bit Weapon. He further adds:
“The image appears to consist of parody versions of game characters, including Mario, Lara Croft, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Bomberman. The image was sent as part of an invitation for the official unveiling of the game in early May.”
What do you think? Is he on the right track? Who are the silhoutte characters? What do all these clues suggest about the game itself? Let the speculation begin!

There is more, I watched that invitation in Pocket Gamer a week ago; Jon Jordan revealed the exact date and city (May 2nd in San Francisco) and finds some shapes similar to Ratchet & Clank and Duke Nukem.

I’m calling it right now: Biggest disappointment of the year.
You heard it here first.

Have you seen some blog’s coverage (for example engadget or gizmodo) on events like Steve Job’s keynotes? They write a live-minute-by-minute blog’s entry so virtually we can be there. It’d be great if N-Gage’s blog do that on may 2nd
Pleeeeeease! Say yes! Ikona?

Biggest disappointment of the year? I wouldn’t bet on that, Scott Foe is the mind behind the first MMOG for a mobile phone and I’ve always thought that only people who question the status quo can change it.
About silhoutte characters i’d say we will see bubble twins, lazer boys, lethargic menaces, nin10do ravers, krafty noobs…

One thing I’m curious: what will the plotline be? Is it going to be utterly insane or make sense in a very weird way? Hell, we’ve gotten the sound track artist revealed, concept art, interviews and the info its gonna be old skool. Yet nobody has any idea of the actual game genre, features, plotline or gameplay! May 2nd closing in 5 days…

I can also recommend a cool app for mobiles. It’s called I-Citizen and it came out recently. It’s the world’s first 3D world for mobile handsets. Its fun to play and you can meet people and chat to them as you might have guessed. They have promotions where they give away PS3’s and Xboxes to people in a place called I-Bid in the app. Its beta release was announced in March 2008 and anyone can give it a try. You can get it from your mobiles browser or your pc by going to http://wap.Icitizencommunity.Com also check out www.micazook.com for it too.
